To anyone still present on this message board, I was just wondering if there's any update on the status of the mod? I've just seen the News post on the website from last year, and decided to rummage around the old forums a bit.

So I assume the game is still being worked on? Any idea about a potential release date? God it feels as if I was asking these same questions in a past life...revisiting this place feels like hanging out at a familiar graveyard on a nice summer day. All the best to anyone that can read this

It lives. Almost at the testing stage i believe. The team don't really use this forum anymore so it does appear a little lifeless at times.

It has taken some time.... but no-one gets paid to do this so progress can be sporadic.

Damn, was not expecting anyone to reply, thanks Chris! Testing stage I guess means the release is relatively close? 2026 or 2027?

What an epic achievement tbqf, dedication and perseverance unheard of, through decades no less! Honest to God I hope you'll be open to doing an interview at some point on a YouTube channel or a podcast, revisiting the whole process that brought you to where you are today and actually getting the mod out of the door. It's one for the history books for sure - thank you for everything you and the team did to make it happen against all odds

I don't know when it will be out. I haven't worked on MRFor a decade. I just lurk here from time to time for the nostalgia. No doubt the team will release some info when it nears the release date.

I could talk about my modding days and the weird series of events that led to me resurrecting MR.... but i don't know how interested people would be. I'm not everyone's favourite Martian. I also have little time left with my health failing so that's a factor.

Quantum apprentice might be up for doing some YouTube stuff.... he already has a channel!

Thanks, didn't know you were no longer actively involved. Btw, on the topic of lurking, I just noticed that your post count is substantially higher than the actual number of posts one can find by searching? I assume a big portion of the forum is actually hidden?

Not sure where you're getting the idea people would not have interest in the story of the person that actually kept the mod alive and brought it back from the dead, quite the contrary imo. Don't undersell yourself like that, if MR is ever released you'll be one of the main pillars that made it happen and that's a story I would personally love to hear, and I know at least a double digit amount of classic Fallout fans that would slobber over content like that.

Dear God, I'm honestly so sorry to hear that. There's no good comment one can give to information like this, so I only wish you the best and hope your health endures as much as it can.

Quantum apprentice has been doing a lot of the scripting and bug hunting in the latest version. He's got a you tube channel as well.with all sorts of fallout related videos.

This website used to be the base of operations for the game so yes about 95% of it is private. Its used mainly as a reference hub now rather than an active work place.
