We might need one or two more pieces. Can we hear you anywhere?
also, what exactly are you looking for in the rip&flip? Are we talking full screens for loading and such or additional items or scenes or can I just do whatever and is there a preferred format?
Ripping and flipping is a term coined by Pixote, who is the true master of the trade. Ripping and flipping consists in taking the original artworks used in Fallout games (walls, scenery - such as cars, tiles, etc.) and making new pieces by combining various parts of the original artworks, re-painting them, adding new details etc. Here is a perfect example of masterful ripping and flipping:

Ripping and flipping also includes stealing art from other games (most notably Tactics and Fallout 3/NV) and adjusting it to fit Fallout 2 style (painting over 3D models, adjusting Tactics art angle, desaturating colours that are too vivid, etc.).

Basically, we need another art builder to relieve Pixote of some of the workload.
also, I have a fairly good mic (used for garage band recording currently) and am an English speaker so if you need an extra voice I can read some lines.
Cool. Find a dialogue file of one of the Fallout 1 or 2 non-Talking Head characters (you can find complete transcripts of dialogue files on The Vault) and record a dozen of his/her lines. Put them in a ZIP file and send us a link to RapidShare, MediaFire or a service like that. We'll listen to your recordings and if you fit the bill, we'll be happy to have you. :mhmm:

Actually I've been a very lazy bastard recently, sorry Gentlemen it happens to all of us. I will pull my finger out and get back into making new stuff (ripping and flipping). :jap:

Hello !

I'm from "Génération Fallout" ("Cam'" there), and a 3D artist.
I was graduated from my school of animation in September, and I am looking for some jobs to enrich my demo.
I'm just a beginner in modding (Just a little help on "E.C Paris") but Aguirre told me that you might find my skills usefull.

Here my 3D graduation short movie "Solus":

And here my showreel : https://vimeo.com/53774792

I'm also looking for a real job for paying bills, so i've got time for now, but if I find it, maybe i will not help as much.

Sorry for my bad english, i'll try to be the most understandable as possible.

This pics are taken from a very old project of mine. I can't scripting, so it's dead now. But at least I learned how Mapper works. I follow the Fallout 2 modding scene since the release of the official Mapper, so I can remember the first Mutants Rising homepage, the first demo, etc. :smirk:
I hope we can work together, because I always liked this project.

What sort of writing still needs to be done? Are we talking doing full dialog trees, descriptions, editing, or a little bit of everything?

Full dialogue trees based on specific documentation.
We have all our quests and NPCs designed and described, now we're focusing on turning them into actual dialogue files for scripters. We have four or five active writers at the moment, but there's still a lot of work to do, so every pair of hard-working hands is welcome :)
