I wrote nearly all dialogues for my mod in NotePad. Some of them through FSE's dialogue editor. But I never found much use for the FMF tool (I'm a solo modder, I know what nodes I want to put the dialogue into

Hello Gentlemen

My name is Pixote (Simon); I have been helping Killap on his Restoration Project for over a year now. I basically rebuilt (built on to) all of the maps in Fallout 2 (project is called - FEMP) with the main focus on enhancing the feel and atmosphere of the game, and fixing the dreaded shitty edges. As well I’ve built quite a lot of new art, as well as rebuilding certain original Black Isle artworks, which will be given freely to all Fallout modding groups after RP 1.3 is released. Chris kindly asked me if I could assist the good people of Mutants Rising in completing this excellent project, so here I am….

I have experience in Photoshop, 3D, critter building (editing), mapping……that’s about it. I’m here for the duration of Mutants Rising mod, but will on occasions be called back to help on Killaps RP.

So fill me in…

I'm hoping we'll be done soon.

Besides, would it be a bad idea to have us all under one voice? :lolz:

Read something you like in your best voice, and if you can do anything extra special with your voice, like characters give that a whirl as well. We would like to hear what you sound like and what you can do. Currently we are looking for the voice of a Raider, but I don't have his script to hand. If you can come up with a psychotic bad ass voice that is not to camp, that would be great.

Southern US or neutral US accents are preferable.

Hello there. I'm sure no one here knows me here, mainly because I am just an aspiring modder for Fallout 2-styled mods, like Mutants Rising. Anyhow, I think I would be able to contribute with a few things here and there, as long as you guys need it.

1) If this mod is mainly in Russian, or some other language (I know most Fallout fans are not fluent in English), then I would be a really helpful translator. If there is no need for any translation, thats fine, I just don't exactly know.

2) I could create some pieces of art, like loading screens and such, but scenery might be a problem. Right now, I am playing around with a few ideas, but as of now, I don't really know what would be appropriate for the game setting.

3) If any scripting help is needed, I will be doing a little studying about that over at falloutmods.wikia.com about how to do that.

4) I don't think another writer is needed, from what I've heard, however, if you guys would accept one, I am decent at writing dialogue and story structure for just such games.

Basically, I am open to suggestions for what help is needed. Thanks - Ghouly89

Translator to what language? We are making an english mod - all the dialogues are in english.
2) I could create some pieces of art, like loading screens and such, but scenery might be a problem. Right now, I am playing around with a few ideas, but as of now, I don't really know what would be appropriate for the game setting.
Well, could you send me some samples? Just to see what things you can make.
3) If any scripting help is needed, I will be doing a little studying about that over at falloutmods.wikia.com about how to do that.
Plenty of scripting left to be done, but there are three of us working on the scripting. The trouble with new scripters is having to train them which takes time away from us actually scripting. Its a tough balance. The main things we are looking for are artists that can create talking heads and movies.
4) I don't think another writer is needed, from what I've heard, however, if you guys would accept one, I am decent at writing dialogue and story structure for just such games.
Again, could you send me a sample of dialogue so we can see what you can do.

About the language thing, I was just uncertain as of now whether or not the mod was in a different language. Thanks for clearing that up :ummm:

Now, about the artwork, that would be the last thing I would opt to help with. So far, I have the least experience with that.
Again, could you send me a sample of dialogue so we can see what you can do.

My best bet at helping would be to either write dialogue or do scripting. I will send you examples or dialogue, but I don't really know what examples you are looking for. Can they assume the roles of hypothetical characters from, say Fallout 2?

Well, if you can translate into another language that would help...

As I said before, taking on a new scripter would be useful but only if they had the same level of expertise as those on the team already (to cut down on wasting time teaching etc...) There's also the problem with telling a new scripter all about he plot, how towns affect each other... what needs to be done. In the long run, at this late stage, taking on another scripter would slow us down!

So it would have to be dialogue. And that may be for the expansion pack as most things are now done for this game.
but I don't really know what examples you are looking for. Can they assume the roles of hypothetical characters from, say Fallout 2?
Yeah, just a sample of dialogue from a character you've written so we can see it. If you send it to me, and Dude101 so we can both look at it.

Forum is fine. Or email. I check both often enough. If you do it via the forum, send me or dude101 a private message.
